中華台北 在08年奧運其中的最後一場比賽 就是 蘇麗文 的跆拳道 比到腿已經不行了 仍然執意踢下去 還弄到延長賽 算是給了”雖敗猶榮”一個交代

經過了數十小時的心靈重建 對休戚相關(solidarity)有了新的體驗 對人生不只是棒球有了新的認知 也下了一個重大的決定
明年三月 經典賽再見!!! [這叫什麼認知 我看是沒藥醫囉]
到那時 可能又要把心靈再度重建 (呸 少烏鴉嘴)

中華隊這次的表現 就讓那些專家去評論吧 打擊的發揮 投手的調動 臨場的戰術 團體的整合 能及格的有多少?? 不過再多的評論 又能減輕多少球迷的 感嘆 難過 無奈 憤怒 失望??
希望中華隊回國不要被丟雞蛋
什麼叫做 “雖敗猶榮”?? 該做到的事情沒做到 何有榮焉?? 不是說一定要贏了才有榮耀 但也不可以說犯了一大堆的鳥錯 還說雖敗猶榮
我仍相信中華隊是很強的 在場上沒有應有的表現 就是還有不夠的地方 奧運這種一局就要定江山的比賽 沒有時間去適應 大家都一樣 又不是打季賽 沒有翻身的機會
2012 沒有棒球 2016要有機會也不大 看了二十幾多年的中華隊的我 這樣的結果 不是一個 ‘酸’ 就能搞定的

奧運這東西 實在是有它的魅力 好像以前從來都不關心的運動 現在搖身一變 都是了不起的成就 騎馬射箭舉重體操跳水羽毛球 每四年可以得到我幾分鐘的憐愛
重點是棒球啊
中華隊 (這個詞已經被很多搞政治的人污染到不行了 這次的奧運真的是被消費的可以了 不過我從小就是幫中華隊加油 今年也不打算有所改變) 首戰荷蘭 5:0贏了
好的開始 是成功的一半 繼續加油吧
下一場對日本 硬仗來著的 嘸啲驚 就讓抗日英雄 好好發揮 加油!! 加油!! 加油!!

Praise the Lord. We have a new baby.
God has been really good to us. Not only we have a new baby, God has given us a very generous mum to buy us a new car. So i thought i need to insure the car. And i went with Bingle. It is the no frill car insurance, underwritten by AAMI.
I was reading my policy in the section about what i am not covered. The following paragraph interested me.
Your Bingle policy does not cover:
—damage or loss directly or indirectly caused by, arising from, or connected with:
––the use, misuse or existence of nuclear
weapons; or the use, misuse, escape
or existence of nuclear fuel, waste or
nuclear materials or ionising radiation

What is the chance of that? Direct or indirect?? nuclear fuel? both fission and fusion??
Are you covered? for the judgment of God? maybe it is time to shop around eh?

Interesting article here.
2 ideas:
i. singularity — our personal capabilities has been exponentially enabled by our digital tools. So when we work, we tap into the web for information, intelligence, talent and skills. And in my experience, this ‘tapping into’ is a very temporary and disposable exercise.
ii. craftsman — skill, attentiveness, problem solving, commitment, and art + intelligence together. Consider that becoming an expert at a physical task which takes many hours of practice. [i can think of juggling]
The article makes me think about ministry in general and preaching prep in particular. With such a big pool to pull resources for my cut-and-paste, i do feel somehow the ‘art’ of preparing a sermon i am practicing is somehow different from how it is taught where thoughtful prayer, careful exegesis, deep and meaningful reflection (both personal and social) and clever communication are involved.
I remember the hours i put into juggling [when i had the hours], and i remember how rewarding it was to put into the hard work in understanding and teaching God’s word. However, must confess that i am not working hard enough at ‘crafting’ my ministry; preaching, writing Bible study and all that.
Again, more repentance and self-discipline!
The article ends with this qn: So the question is not which one is right or wrong, but how do they (singularity and craftsman) exist together?
p.s. kept thinking whether ‘craftsmanship’ is the better word here.

Dom has shown some major progress in his growth, especially in the area of communitaion.
Dom is starting to address ppl by proper titles: uncle, aunt, bro and sis.
Dom can call out the names of ppl with pronunciations to various accuracies.
Praise the Lord he also recognises a hand full of alphabets!
What i found is that you can teach a child to say bye bye, and thank you and say please. However, it is not easy to get them (at least Dom) to say sorry. He knows to say bye when people leave, or when he leaves others. He knows to say thanks when ppl give him stuff (including compliments). He knows to say please when he is asking for something. BUT, no sorry when he has done some wrong against others.
is that the case for an 1.8 year old only? or is it universal? That we are afraid to admit our wrongs, we are ashamed to admit our wrongs, we rather keep it untold and therefore unknown and therefore it is as if we have not done wrong?
Confessing our sins is not a natural thing, asking for forgiveness is God’s work. Forgiveness is totally God’s business. It is good to do business with God.
1 John 2:1-2 But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense– Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

i rarely am interested in those geeky stuff. but this is something interesting.
IBM is developing some new storage device with no spinning parts (like your Flash drives) and wont damage the thing (Flash drives cause damages every time they write).
The data is racing around a track, rather than stored in a fixed place for the computer to retrieve.

今年的年夜飯, 媽約了我們去外頭吃. 還”順便”參加什麼榮光會的交接和慶生. 有個意想不到的人就這麼遇到了.
到了餐廳以後就是和這個阿姨恭喜 對那個叔叔拜年 讓老媽秀一秀她的寶貝孫子 真是非常的社交啊
還有個晚會主持人 誰家吃年夜飯有主持人的沒有? 真是熱鬧非凡啊
菜上得有點慢 Dom 有點不耐煩 一邊吃還要一邊帶出去溜溜 散散心 好在Jenny的同學就住在餐廳樓上 也來吃飯 就都帶著孩子去玩
有許多人上臺致詞 大部分就是在哭說台灣人在海外受中國人欺壓 有的沒有的故事 再加上一些想要鼓勵人投馬英九之類的說詞 讓我這個很久沒回台灣的假洋鬼子過盡了乾癮
後來就輪到重量級的人物 蔣家媳婦 上去講她的了 不過到了這個時候 兒子已經累翻了 聽沒兩句就收拾回去了 反正也是大同小異的內容 但還是不忘用手機偷拍幾張
正好最近又在看 白木 還真巧啊 不過好像白木板主同一時間不知道發表了些什麼高見 有人離澳沒幾天 就辭了不少官
不管我在blog 放再多的p 我媽也不用操心

We moved. Again. with the plan to move again in 2 years time.
from 200 sqm to about 100 sqm, from lower nth shore to Newtown. Why??
It is within the college community.
The value of being near/in the college is so much greater than the roomy spaces, the gas heated water system (which is overrated really), the gas stove/oven, the Caesar stone kitchen bench, the polished timer floor boards, the sun/air from windows on nrth, sth and east, the wardrobe, and the capacity to move a queen size bed to the broom put together.
The support here is just phenomenal, we have been here for 4 days, and Dom has already made friends to play with and Jenny caught up with some of the wives who are going through the same experiences. Having so many Christian neighbours is certainly a blessing.
We really look forward to the next two years living in the compound (that is what it is called, but it’s much better than it sounds).
oh, did i say that i get a spot in the study room?
The move was ok smooth. had the professionals to do it.
come and visit us some time!

after few weeks of Antonín Dvořák in the car, i switched to Joe Satriani on my way home from OT2 supp. All of a sudden Satch became simpler. Satch is still good, but simpler, still fun and exciting, but simpler.

亞洲職業大賽 – 打了半天 有夠丟臉 被韓國墊好笑的 還提前結束 對中國之星也令人提心吊膽 又是第三名
世界杯 — 進了八強 繼續加油 為亞錦賽準備 不要太多人受傷才好 要拿金牌還得再進步啊

Greek –passed
OT — need to study hard.
Doctrine — passed. Praise the Lord
Church History — in a study group. should help. still lots of work.
Philosophy — passed.
Congregational Ministry — should be ok, just another 25% thing then i am through
NT — biggiest question mark! should be a good idea to repeat so i can really learn some Greek rather than just cram.

some self-appraisal: the good thing they did in church, said to others, learnt from church

Massive!!!
The whole church hall is filled with ppl! Families, friends, CCC, FOCUS, Moore and more.
Great time catching up with ppl. With some are very brief. J&G from QLD, J from CCC, didnt get to c T but saw their daughter, they are doing well. J&V, we said we will have a meal together sometime.. who knows when, better get out of the planner soon.
Promised to pray for J’s life decisions, C’s safety on his trip, and this other person/couple… cant remember!!! getting old…
Shared food with J&J, F&L, W&S and their kids. Took many shots, hopefully they will remember to send to me.
How many friends do i have with first names starting with J?
another wedding to go to next Sat. J&L!

Not a bad clip if you like darker comedies. A family so dysfunctional that you see yours in it.
Family only grows stronger when members are together, forced or not.
Jenny and i both love the satirical attack on the beauty pageant towards the end of the film.
